As November ends, we’ve only got 2 weeks left before the semester ends. This week we covered concurrency and used multithreading to show how it can lead to unexpected behavior. Multithreading is a pretty intimidating topic, and I’m sure I’ll have to return to it in the future to brush up on things. This week has been pretty rough; partially because of school but mostly because of external factors.
Jubi had to go to the hospital twice this week. She’s not well enough to come home and it turned what should have been a relaxing week into a nightmare. Instead of dwelling on what isn’t right I’m trying to be hopeful that things will return to normal, even if it’s just for a few months.
All this has made it pretty difficult to focus on the intricacies of how a computer works, and I’m looking forward to the upcoming break. I’m planning on spending some time looking at Rust and revisiting some of the things we learned over the last few weeks.
