This course provides balanced coverage of database use and design,focusing on relational databases. Students will learn to design relational schemas, write SQL queries, access a DB programmatically,and perform database administration. Students will gain a working knowledge of the algorithms and data structures used in query evaluation and transaction processing. Students will also learn to apply newer database technologies such as XML, NoSQL, and Hadoop.
Our database class was a little bit of a departure from android development. All of the work we did was individual, and most of it was just practicing SQL. We did a lot of data exploration where the goal was to find various pieces of specific info from a database.
Our final project was a little less involved in that the task was just to design, set up, and manage an SQL database. As a part of the work for this project, we were asked to make an ERD diagram. I have Attached a portion of the diagram as a screenshot below.
